M-Taco Fries 
Since Taco Bell is no longer offering the taco fries we decided to try and make our own.

I've been eating those individual cups of oatmeal and paying out the nose for them so I decided to figure out how to save money while still having one for breakfast.
Dollar tree paper party cups 9oz and then brown sugar oatmeal packets from Walmart. Water in the cup up to my second knuckle=1/2 cup + 1 packet of oatmeal, cook for 1 minute and perfect oatmeal. If you don't want it so thick add a little more water but I like mine thick.
So I Spent $.08 for the cup, $0.25 for oatmeal and $0.06 for water=$0.39 compared to $1.48 name brand or $0.84 great value brand.

anyhoo what I ate today

1 packet of Great Value Instant Oatmeal, Salted Caramel (was very good. Let it sit for a couple of minutes to let the caramel melt.
5 cups? maybe if that of mac and cheese dinner (with the liquid cheese not powder) and a little bit of hamburger.

I only drink water or eat ice so there are no beverage counts.

Phoenix went to church with her boyfriend whose parents do not know that she's his girlfriend. Then went and spent time with him at his house afterward.
Lily and Del went to the park alone and Chris about flipped out when he drove by and didn't see them. It was his own fault because he didn't listen to Lily. She told him they were going to the other park not the one around the corner.
He's very overprotective where I am not. Lily is 14 and Del is 8. I wouldn't let Del go by herself but as long as Lily is with her I'm good.

Dinner- Frozen Burritos & rice

Almost time for the New Year. In some respects I thought it could never come fast enough. On the other hand I wanted to relish every second because my granddaughters are growing up so fast. I know that I'll blink and they will be grown.
It's super cold here today. 26 currently with a high of 27 low of 13! My toes are frozen solid no matter how many pairs of socks I throw at them. I want it to snow as we need the moisturizer but would love the rain more. I am definitely not a winter creature!!!

I'm currently out of small crochet projects by am actively looking for some.
I'm working on my gray & jade c2c that I started in August but got side tracked with Christmas gifts.

I am not a fast crocheter by any means plus this was my first year of doing crochet gifts so I was happy with what I put out.

Dinner: papa johns or little caesar Chiefs won last night so all pizza is 50% off @ papa Johns


Almost done with the baby blanket for Alex. Just putting the edging on it and then I will start Journey's new shirt and the babies new dress & booties. Then I still have to do Amora's hot pink and black baby blanket & hat.  I still need ribbon for the mohair and tulle tutu and hat that I made for Alex & buttons for Journey's headbands.


So one of the girl's friends messaged me yesterday and told me she was back in town. Yay! I love her and her little boys like they're my own.
Brittany posted a picture of Addison (addy) Courtney's new baby and Courtney reported her to facebook. Then she unblocked Journey so she could bring her into the drama. I don't understand my oldest. Why does she want anything to do with her sisters? She has always thought she is better than everyone else. I figured if she's to good for me than whoopy for her. While I miss being a part of my grandchildren's life, I don't miss the stress she brings. Seems the only thing she wanted out of me was money and since I don't have any of that she turned to those who do. So good luck to her. When she looks around and realizes all she missed she will realize she only has herself to blame.

Chris ate noodles and more for dinner. His company caters in meals all the time. He brought the girls huge rice krispy treats home.

Dinner: KFC Chicken Fried steak meal comes with Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and biscuit. Dessert-twix bar (snack size)

Current Wips-still working on the candy corn sweater (cardigan) and Alex's baby blanket. I have to make the straps for her tutu then it will be done.
Made Chris's kc hat need to make the arrow head applique for it.
Made a pumpkin hat for god knows who. It was just so cute and I had the colors so there you go. :)
took and uploaded all the pictures on my Ravelry.

Brittany wants either a cat or a mouse costume for Alex. So I'll make both and let her choose which she likes. I have to make a cat set for Del so it won't be that much extra work. It's just headbands, felt and glue. Some gray material, gray tulle and 1/2" gray ribbon. Journey hasn't said anything about Amora but I'm sure she will.

Phoenix got grounded to her room for shoving me into the door when I told her to go do her chore. I hope this is just a teenage thing and that she will outgrow it with enough attention. She acts like she requires very little but in reality she wants all my attention just like her sisters. I love her but she needs to get it together. She will be old enough to move out soon and ready or not I'm not taking care of her for the rest of her life.
She is smart enough and wise enough to manage herself. I just wish she'd get on with it.

Del continues to amaze me. She was sorting m&ms by color today all by herself. Even knew the colors. She can count to 13 and is working hard at learning how to read.

Well Jo & Amora are back at TJ aunt's house. I guess there was some fuss about her having Amora up and Jo taking a nap this morning. Him and his aunt were bad mouthing her. I told her not to worry that Connie isn't important. I still don't understand why this family isn't good enough for my grandkids and why my girls feel the need to have someone else's family step in and take over. It's complete and udder BS. But I have to keep my mouth shut otherwise I don't get to see them. So far I've got 9 grandkids and only get to see 1 because I don't know how to keep my opinions of their decisions to myself. It's not my fault that I expect better out of them. Out of all the people in the world they should be able to handle the truth from their mother.

While Amora was I sneaked her birthday present on her and it fits perfectly. YAY! I've been so worried that it wouldn't fit. Now I can get busy making her some more of them and I still need to put daily work into Jo's shirt. It is so boring but I must try as I only have half a month left.
